Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors
- Ability to read and understand employment policies, safety rules and procedures in English
- Comfortable with electronic devices and cash register operations
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift at least 25 pounds, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and perform tasks requiring close vision, color vision and depth perception
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be resourceful and adaptable to changing priorities
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic proficiency with electronic devices and point-of-sale systems
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals and deliver excellent customer service
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and engage them in friendly, personal conversations to establish rapport
- Understand and meet each customer's needs by offering personalized product recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and fitting rooms throughout the day
- Stay informed on sales goals, product knowledge, promotions, and current trends to confidently assist customers
- Drive sales by meeting daily goals and promoting Macy’s Loyalty program
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support store operations and enhance customer service
- Use technology proficiently to process transactions and manage merchandise efficiently
