- Frequent use of computers and technology including cash register and handheld equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable using electronic devices and point-of-sale systems
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Greet customers with warmth and professionalism
- Understand and meet customers' needs with personalized product recommendations
- Maintain the sales floor and fitting rooms in a clean and organized state
- Review sales goals and stay informed about products, promotions, and trends
- Engage customers in friendly, personal conversations to build relationships
- Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately
- Promote Macy's loyalty program benefits and ensure customer satisfaction at checkout
