Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules in English
- Capability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- Good vision including color vision and depth perception
- Comfortable using computers, handheld equipment, and cash registers
- Willingness to engage in continuous learning and adapt to changing priorities
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Basic proficiency with electronic devices and cash register systems
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and work effectively in a team
- Positive attitude with a passion for customer service and sales
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized product recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable sales floor and fitting rooms
- Achieve and strive to exceed daily sales goals through effective customer engagement
- Collaborate with team members to support store operations and customer service excellence
- Share Macy's Loyalty program benefits with customers to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate electronic registers and handheld devices to process transactions accurately
- Participate in ongoing learning to stay informed about products, trends, and promotions
