Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year retail sales or service experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including regular business hours, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety and operating instructions
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn various hardware knowledge areas
- Continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance
- Weekend availability required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable using computers and handheld technology for transactions
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise as arranged by management
- Maintain your assigned department by keeping it clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Execute daily operational and day-to-day goals assigned by store management
- Cooperate with others and work well as part of a retail team by actively participating in meetings and sharing ideas
- Remove promotional bin tags and price tags after sales events and restock merchandise displays
- Handle special orders for non-stock items with proper management approval
- Monitor for shoplifters and take action in accordance with company policy
- Provide excellent customer service by being helpful, knowledgeable, respectful, and friendly
- Stand in main aisles to assist customers and avoid personal conversations with co-workers on the floor
- Serve customers in assigned departments or storewide, providing advice and assistance
- Assist customers with complaints and involve managers when necessary
- Stay aware of promotions and sales to inform customers
- Use radio and headset for effective communication with other associates
- Assist customers with large or heavy items
- Participate in peer training and development
- Receive training in POS systems, paint mixing, glass cutting, propane refills, key cutting, basic hardware, and inventory control
