Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum work hours of 42 per fiscal quarter for first three quarters and 60 hours for the fourth quarter
- Must read and understand employment policies and safety procedures in English
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Must have close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Comfortable using computers, handheld equipment, and processing register transactions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience advantageous but not required
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic proficiency with electronic devices and point-of-sale systems
- Strong customer orientation and a passion for helping others
- Adaptable and resourceful with the ability to work independently and in teams
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and create personal connections to encourage loyalty
- Understand customer needs and offer suitable product recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable sales floor and fitting rooms
- Communicate benefits of Macy's Loyalty program and assist with account openings
- Collaborate with colleagues to support team goals and store operations
- Achieve daily sales goals through customer engagement and smart selling techniques
- Complete transactions efficiently using electronic devices and register systems
