Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety procedures in English
- Comfort with electronic devices and cash register operation
- Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges
- Physical ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds
- Capability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders
- Excellent close vision, color vision, and depth perception
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic proficiency with electronic devices and point-of-sale systems
- Enthusiasm for sales and delivering excellent customer experiences
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to the role
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized product recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and appealing sales floor and fitting rooms
- Meet or exceed daily sales goals through effective customer engagement
- Promote and explain the benefits of Macy's Loyalty program
- Assist customers with transactions using electronic devices and register systems
- Support team members with honest, caring, and collaborative service
- Stay informed about current promotions, trends, and product arrivals to educate customers
