- flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- dependable attendance and punctuality
- ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors

- ability to handle electronic devices and process register transactions
- physical ability to stand for long periods, lift at least 25 pounds, and perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders

- blend selling with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences
- understand each customer’s needs and offer personalized recommendations
- maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and fitting rooms
- review sales goals and stay informed on new arrivals and promotions
- engage customers with friendly and personal conversations
- promote Macy’s Loyalty program benefits and ensure customers have all they need
- collaborate with team members to support store performance and customer service
