Job Requirements
- Associates degree in business, food service management, or culinary arts from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Two to four years of retail or hospitality operational management experience
- Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Commitment to fostering positive employee relations
- Willingness to work onsite at Ann Arbor campus
- Exempt employment status
- Salary expectations between $42,750 and $49,175 annually
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree in business, food service management, or culinary arts or relevant combination of education and experience
- Two to four years of operational management experience in retail or hospitality
- Proven ability to manage budgets and financial performance
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Manage the administrative, operational, and developmental activities of one or more retail dining operations
- Oversee food and beverage management including menu design and collaboration with culinary staff
- Manage revenues, expenses, and analyze food, labor, and administrative costs
- Enforce HACCP and ensure sanitary conditions in all food storage, production, and serving areas
- Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and discipline retail staff
- Maintain high customer service standards following Michigan Dining guidelines
- Support sustainability initiatives, student engagement, and community partnerships
