Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of previous retail Safety and Security Management experience or IKEA Risk and Compliance experience
- knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local safety and security legislation
- experience implementing safety and security programs in retail
- experience performing risk assessments and investigations
- strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- open availability Monday through Sunday
- ability to work in a retail environment
- willingness to comply with company policies and standards
Job Qualifications
- At least 3 years of retail Safety and Security Management experience or 3 years IKEA Risk and Compliance experience
- knowledge of federal, state, and local safety and security legislation
- experience in implementing comprehensive retail safety and security programs
- experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations including theft and fraud
- strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- analytical and problem-solving abilities
- organizational skills with attention to detail
- ability to manage vendor relationships and perform crisis management
Job Duties
- Hire, onboard, and train co-workers
- direct co-worker selection, onboarding, and development
- create individual development plans
- manage resource planning and co-worker relations
- oversee daily Risk and Compliance team performance
- execute compliance tasks and assessments aligned with company policies and legal requirements
- oversee safety and security of people and property
- identify and mitigate risks
- establish and update business and action plans
- respond to internal and external incidents
- ensure thorough documentation and reporting of incidents
- serve as subject matter expert for liability claims and insurance
- minimize theft and fraud
- support internal investigations
- lead physical security and safety programs
- work with outside agencies for compliance
- manage sensitive issues including misconduct and lawsuits in partnership with management and field safety specialists
