Job Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must pass all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
- Flexible work schedule required including shift coverage and emergency response
- Ability to operate under company policies and procedures
- Ability to understand and complete directives timely
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
- Basic understanding of compliance software and job-specific technology
- Adherence to local, state, and federal industry standards
- Capacity to work autonomously to meet daily and departmental goals
- Represent the company professionally in all communications
- Observe and maintain all safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to lift, carry, and balance up to 40 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
- Must tolerate strong odors and exposure to cannabis products
Job Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Proficient in Windows-based software and point of sale applications
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret and comply with complex statutes, regulations, and laws
- Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local cannabis industry regulations
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, government agencies, and the public
- Skilled in using standard office equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications, and email
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with diverse audiences
- Capacity to exercise initiative and independent judgment appropriately
- Ability to apply public relations skills to facilitate change as needed
Job Duties
- Help retail customers in line with company mission, vision, goals, and objectives
- Provide extensive product knowledge to assist with informed purchasing decisions
- Complete assigned tasks during scheduled shifts
- Use and maintain the point of sale (POS) system accurately
- Follow proper cash handling and discount/coupon procedures
- Answer phone calls and greet customers with a pleasant disposition
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and sales records
- Assist with cannabis product inventory intake following quality assurance protocols
- Prepare, package, and deliver curbside pickup orders accurately
- Verify customer identity before curbside transaction
- Ensure correct payment collection before product exchange
- Complete curbside transactions upon return to retail facility
- Maintain medical patient confidentiality per HIPAA regulations
- Apply all security and safety compliance procedures
- Keep store organized, clean, and well-maintained
- Maintain open communication with management and coworkers
- Report employee issues or customer concerns to supervisors
- Support management to ensure smooth retail operations, including daily activities and issue resolution
- Ensure customer satisfaction by adhering to company sales and service policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
