Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a customer focused management role
  • high school diploma or GED required
  • ability to multitask projects of varying scope and complexity with minimum supervision
  • proficient in Microsoft Outlook and technology
  • strong communication and people skills
  • punctual and dependable attendance
  • free from alcohol and drug abuse
  • clear background and drug screening
  • valid CDL and auto insurance if required for driving
  • ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • willingness to work at nearby locations if needed

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a customer focused management role
  • retail experience preferred
  • high school diploma or GED required, college degree helpful
  • ability to multitask projects of varying scope and complexity with minimum supervision
  • bilingual in Spanish helpful
  • proficient in using personal computers and technology
  • proficient in Microsoft Outlook and completing surveys using electronic platforms
  • strong communication, training, developing and people skills
  • computer skills include time-keeping systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, POS system and daily usage of tracking applications
  • demonstrated success with process accountability and multitasking
  • ability to handle confidential information
  • punctual and dependable attendance
  • free from alcohol and drug abuse
  • understands the philosophy of Goodwill and participates in carrying out its mission
  • adheres to Goodwill's values of respect, integrity, service and excellence

Job Duties

  • Ensures excellent service and team relations
  • engages with Ambassadors, customers and donors while presenting a friendly and cooperative attitude
  • ensures all safety rules are followed and team exercises caution in work-related activities
  • leads team to maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring company safety standards, social distancing procedures and personal protective equipment policies are followed
  • achieves financial objectives by monitoring weekly budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, coaching ambassadors and initiating corrective actions
  • manages and ensures donated goods are received using the tablet, processed timely and meet company standards of quantity and quality goals
  • supervises interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, scheduling and directing work
  • appraises performance, rewards, develops and disciplines employees
  • addresses complaints and resolves problems
  • follows proper auditing procedures, customer relations, regulatory compliance and reporting
  • reviews merchandising needs daily and leads the team to achieve daily production goals
  • authorizes price markdowns and promptly reacts to sell-through
  • writes, manages and submits schedules
  • monitors, edits and authorizes timesheets per company policy
  • ensures store asset control and security policies are enforced
  • monitors and maintains sales floor, production area, equipment, landscaping, housekeeping, loss prevention and safety to company standards
  • attends meetings and training as required
  • works flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • may be required to work at a nearby location
  • supervises 9-35 Ambassadors
