Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a customer focused management role
  • retail experience preferred
  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, college degree helpful
  • ability to multitask projects of varying scope and complexity with minimum supervision
  • bilingual in Spanish helpful
  • must be proficient in using personal computers and technology required for tasks
  • must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, electronic surveys and other technology
  • strong communication, training, developing and people skills
  • computer skills include time-keeping systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, POS systems and daily usage of technology and tracking applications
  • demonstrated success with process accountability and multi-tasking
  • ability to handle confidential information
  • punctual and dependable attendance
  • free from alcohol and drug abuse
  • understands Goodwill's philosophy and participates fully in its mission
  • adheres to Goodwill's values of respect, integrity, service and excellence
  • clear background and drug screening

Job Duties

  • Ensures excellent service and team relations
  • engages with ambassadors, customers and donors with a friendly and cooperative attitude
  • ensures all safety rules are followed and team exercises caution in work related activities
  • leads team to maintain a clean and safe environment by enforcing company safety standards, social distancing procedures and PPE policies
  • achieves financial objectives by monitoring weekly budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, coaching ambassadors and taking corrective actions
  • manages receipt and processing of donated goods to meet company standards
  • interviews, hires, trains, plans, assigns, schedules, directs work and appraises performance of employees
  • addresses complaints and resolves problems
  • follows proper auditing, customer relations, regulatory compliance and reporting
  • reviews merchandising needs daily, leads team to meet production and sales goals
  • authorizes price markdowns when appropriate
  • manages schedules and monitors timesheets per policy
  • enforces store asset control and security policies
  • maintains sales floor, production area, store equipment, landscaping, housekeeping and safety standards
  • attends meetings and training
  • works flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • supervises 9-35 ambassadors
  • may work at nearby locations
  • drives to work events if required with a valid CDL and auto insurance
