Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a customer focused management role
  • retail experience preferred
  • proficient in Microsoft Outlook and other computer applications
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • ability to multitask and manage projects with minimal supervision
  • punctual and dependable attendance
  • ability to handle confidential information
  • free from alcohol and drug abuse
  • willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • valid CDL and auto insurance if required to drive for work events
  • bilingual in Spanish helpful
  • clear background and drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a customer focused management role
  • retail experience preferred
  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, college degree helpful
  • ability to multitask projects of varying scope and complexity with minimum supervision
  • bilingual in Spanish helpful
  • proficiency in using personal computers and other technology necessary to complete assigned activities
  • proficient in Microsoft Outlook, completing surveys using electronic platforms to complete daily tasks
  • strong communication, training, developing and people skills
  • computer skills including time-keeping systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, POS system, personal computers, daily usage of technology and tracking applications to complete tasks
  • demonstrated success with process accountability and multi-tasking
  • ability to handle confidential information
  • punctual and dependable attendance
  • free from alcohol and drug abuse
  • understands Goodwill philosophy and participates fully in carrying out its mission

Job Duties

  • Ensures excellent service and team relations
  • engages with employees, customers and donors, while presenting a friendly and cooperative attitude
  • ensures all safety rules are followed and team exercises caution in work related activities
  • leads team to maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring company safety standards, social distancing procedures and personal protective equipment policies are followed
  • achieves financial objectives by monitoring weekly budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, coaching ambassadors and initiating corrective actions
  • manages and ensures donated goods are received using the tablet, processed timely and meet company standards of quantity and quality goals
  • supervises interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, scheduling and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, developing and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • follows proper auditing procedures, customer relations, regulatory compliance and reporting
  • reviews merchandising needs on a daily basis and leads team to achieve daily production goals to support daily sales goals and upcoming promotions
  • authorizes price markdowns when appropriate and promptly reacts to sell-through
  • writes, manages and submits schedules and monitors, edits and authorizes timesheets per company policy
  • ensures store asset control and security policies and procedures are enforced
  • monitors and maintains sales floor, production area, structural, electrical, store equipment, landscaping, housekeeping, loss prevention and safety to company standards
  • attends meetings and training as required
  • works flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime when needed
  • may be required to work at a nearby location
  • supervises 9-35 employees
