Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two years of experience in institutional or commercial food preparation
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions
  • Ability to direct and manage staff
  • Ability to work from written menus, standard recipes, and oral instructions
  • Ability to maintain records accurately
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in large-scale food preparation
  • Knowledge of health hazards and necessary precautions
  • Knowledge of food values and menu planning
  • Ability to train personnel
  • Knowledge of safety and security precautions

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure operational standards for food preparation, presentation, and safety are met through managerial oversight
  • Supervise staff to guarantee adherence to established procedures
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Assess service quality and customer satisfaction through established checkpoints
  • Uphold high standards for food quality and service
  • Enforce all University policies, health codes, and safety standards
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new hires
