Job Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for long periods
  • ability to move throughout the store
  • regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • capability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment
  • willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • ability to perform physical tasks required in a retail setting
  • meet federal, state, and local legal employment requirements
  • ability to provide reasonable accommodations if needed
  • work in a public retail store environment with climate control and some outdoor duties

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience working with children and children’s events
  • excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and listening abilities
  • strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • creative problem-solving skills
  • retail or customer service experience
  • energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and coworkers

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • engage clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • demonstrate and instruct craft projects and activities such as face painting
  • facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons according to company standards
  • communicate effectively with clients and store team members
  • complete administrative tasks including answering emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • adjust events based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • uphold cleanliness and safety standards, including setup and cleanup before and after events
  • help customers shop and locate products
  • provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • promote rewards program and private label credit cards and complete enrollments
  • educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • assist with omnichannel processes such as BOPIS and Ship From Store
  • participate in truck unload, stocking, and merchandise recovery
  • support shrink and safety programs
  • follow standard operating procedures and company policies
  • interact respectfully with customers and team members
  • cross train in custom framing selling and production
  • participate in daily store cleanliness activities
  • perform other duties as assigned
