Job Requirements
- Must be over the age of 18
- Minimum of 2 years retail experience in customer-focused environment
- Full-time availability with flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage stressful situations and maintain composure
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and occasional team lifts over 100 pounds
- Must follow all company policies, procedures and code of ethics
- Ability to handle exposure to pets, pet hair and moderate noise levels
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years retail experience in a customer-focused environment
- Leadership experience preferred

- Experience guiding and supporting development of associates
- Ability to act as leader on duty supervising associates and addressing concerns
Job Duties
- Facilitates the associate experience and supports associate development including training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching
- Validates completion of assigned operational messages and engagement video compliance
- Supports various services businesses when the Experience Leader is unavailable
- Delegates and validates completion of daily tasks
- Leads and directs associates when acting as the Leader on Duty
- Addresses and administers associate complaints and grievances
- Recognizes and celebrates associates driving overall engagement
- Responsible for pet parent experience and outcomes over telephone, in person, or online
- Promotes and coordinates store events and marketing for adoptions, vet partnerships and shot clinics
- Responsible for live pet sales and pet adoptions
- Supports monthly live cycle counts and addresses discrepancies
- Recommends, informs, sells merchandise and services and promotes pet parent initiatives
- Prepares online orders for in-store pick-up ensuring positive experience
- Operates point-of-sale systems and handles cash transactions accurately
- Maintains store standards and ensures compliance with company policies and code of ethics
- Ensures a safe environment for associates, pets and pet parents
- Takes immediate action and reports when sick or injured pet is identified and arranges transport to vet if needed
- Maintains cleanliness standards in sales floor, pet training, adoption center, breakroom and restrooms
- Shares responsibility for store opening and closing procedures
- Assists and works in other departments as required
- Follows all company policies and procedures
