Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of two years retail experience in customer service
  • Leadership or supervisory experience desirable
  • Ability to work full-time with flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency in applicable computer software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with composure
  • Detail-oriented and organized

Job Qualifications

  • Two plus years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Full-time availability with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to react calmly under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Facilitates associate experience and supports associate development including training and coaching
  • Validates completion of operational messages and engagement video compliance
  • Supports various Services businesses when Experience Leader is unavailable
  • Delegates and validates completion of daily tasks
  • Leads and directs associates as Leader on Duty
  • Addresses and administers associate complaints and grievances
  • Recognizes and celebrates associates to drive engagement
  • Provides exceptional pet parent service and responds to concerns in person, by phone, or online
  • Promotes and coordinates store events and marketing for adoptions, vet partnerships and shot clinics
  • Manages live pet sales and pet adoptions
  • Supports monthly live cycle counts and addresses discrepancies
  • Recommends and sells merchandise and services and promotes pet parent initiatives
  • Prepares online orders for store pickup ensuring smooth experience
  • Operates POS systems and handles cash transactions as backup
  • Maintains store standards and ensures policy and ethical compliance
  • Ensures safety for associates, pets, and pet parents
  • Acts immediately and reports when sick or injured pets are identified
  • Maintains cleanliness standards of sales floor, training areas, adoption center, breakroom, and restrooms
  • Shares responsibility for store opening and closing procedures
  • Assists other departments as required
  • Follows all company policies and procedures
