Job Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of two years retail experience in customer service
- Leadership or supervisory experience desirable
- Ability to work full-time with flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in applicable computer software
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure
- Detail-oriented and organized

- Two plus years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
- Leadership experience preferred

Job Duties
- Facilitates associate experience and supports associate development including training and coaching
- Validates completion of operational messages and engagement video compliance
- Supports various Services businesses when Experience Leader is unavailable
- Delegates and validates completion of daily tasks
- Leads and directs associates as Leader on Duty
- Addresses and administers associate complaints and grievances
- Recognizes and celebrates associates to drive engagement
- Provides exceptional pet parent service and responds to concerns in person, by phone, or online
- Promotes and coordinates store events and marketing for adoptions, vet partnerships and shot clinics
- Manages live pet sales and pet adoptions
- Supports monthly live cycle counts and addresses discrepancies
- Recommends and sells merchandise and services and promotes pet parent initiatives
- Prepares online orders for store pickup ensuring smooth experience
- Operates POS systems and handles cash transactions as backup
- Maintains store standards and ensures policy and ethical compliance
- Ensures safety for associates, pets, and pet parents
- Acts immediately and reports when sick or injured pets are identified
- Maintains cleanliness standards of sales floor, training areas, adoption center, breakroom, and restrooms
- Shares responsibility for store opening and closing procedures
- Assists other departments as required
- Follows all company policies and procedures
