Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Six months or more of specialized experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring
  • Meet hiring criteria and transfer requirements if currently employed at FedEx Office
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift excluding breaks
  • Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
  • Ability to bend and twist at the waist and knees regularly
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment under substantial pressure

Job Duties

  • Follow instructions of supervisors and assist other team members in performing store functions
  • Assist in the training of store team members
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand each customer's individualized needs
  • Provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines
  • Recommend appropriate FedEx Office products and services
  • Provide outstanding customer service by anticipating customer needs and offering solutions
  • Resolve all customer problems quickly and to their satisfaction
  • Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information
  • Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping, weighing, and labeling
  • Set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer documents
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly retail store
  • Ensure confidentiality of customer data and handle documents and packages carefully
  • Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal including cash handling
  • Clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies
  • Stay current on merchandising materials and ensure proper product display
  • Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste
  • Complete required financial paperwork and assist with financial reporting
  • Follow FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adhere to legal, safety, customer service, and security policies
  • Perform multiple tasks at the same time
  • Look for opportunities to improve knowledge and skills within the retail store
  • Operate with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to all team member and retail store standards as outlined in the handbook
  • Perform all other duties as needed or required
