Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 6+ months of specialized experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand during entire shift excluding meal and rest periods
  • Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
  • Ability to bend and twist at waist and knees consistently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment under substantial pressure

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 6+ months of specialized experience in retail or customer service
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience operating point of sale systems
  • Knowledge of printing, shipping, and signage products preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated consultative customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer data
  • Ability to operate and maintain retail equipment
  • Basic problem-solving and decision-making skills

Job Duties

  • Follow instructions of supervisors and assist other team members in performing store functions
  • Assist in the training of store team members
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand each customer's individualized need
  • Provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines and recommend appropriate FedEx Office products and services
  • Provide outstanding customer service using consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions
  • Resolve customer problems quickly and to satisfaction
  • Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information
  • Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping
  • Set up and operate printing, binding, and related equipment using customer supplied originals
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store
  • Ensure confidentiality of customer data and handle documents, media, and packages carefully
  • Process financial transactions using POS terminal, including handling cash and making change
  • Clean, repair, and stock retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies
  • Stay current on store merchandising materials and ensure proper product and signage display
  • Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste
  • Complete required financial paperwork and assist with financial reporting
  • Follow FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adhere to legal, HR, safety, customer service, and security policies
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Improve knowledge and skills within the retail store
  • Operate with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to team member and retail store standards
  • Perform other duties as needed or required
