Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • six or more months of specialized experience
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to stand during entire shift excluding meal and rest periods
  • ability to move and lift 55 pounds
  • ability to bend and twist at the waist and knees consistently
  • ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members
  • ability to perform work requiring cooperation and instruction
  • ability to function in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods
  • ability to work with minimal supervision
  • ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours to support FedEx Office business.

  • customer service experience preferred
  • basic math skills for processing transactions

  • familiarity with POS systems
  • ability to maintain confidentiality of customer data and documents
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • willingness to follow company policies and procedures.

Job Duties

  • Follow instructions of supervisors and assist other team members in performing store functions
  • assist in the training of store team members
  • demonstrate consultative behaviors in a retail environment to understand each customer’s individualized needs
  • provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines and recommend appropriate FedEx Office products and services
  • provide an outstanding customer service experience by anticipating customer needs, suggesting alternatives, and finding solutions
  • ensure all customer problems are resolved quickly and to customer satisfaction
  • take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information
  • assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping items, inserting into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels
  • set up and operate printing, binding, and related equipment using customer-supplied media and documents
  • maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store
  • ensure confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents, media, and packages
  • process financial transactions using POS terminal, including handling cash and making change
  • clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance and availability
  • stay current on retail store merchandising materials and ensure proper display of products and signage
  • take preemptive actions to prevent errors and waste
  • complete required financial paperwork and assist with financial reporting such as daily sales, close-outs, and bank deposits
  • follow FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adhere to legal, HR, safety, customer service, and security policies
  • perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • seek opportunities to improve knowledge and skills within the retail store
  • operate with minimal supervision
  • adhere to all FedEx Office team member and retail store standards as outlined in the team member handbook
  • perform all other duties as needed or required.
