Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • minimum 6 months of specialized experience
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to stand during entire shift excluding breaks
  • ability to move and lift 55 pounds
  • ability to bend and twist at waist and knees regularly
  • ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members
  • ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
  • ability to function in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods
  • ability to work with minimal supervision
  • regular attendance and punctuality to maintain established business hours

Job Duties

  • Follow instructions of supervisors and assist other team members in performing store functions
  • assist in the training of store team members
  • demonstrate consultative behaviors in a retail environment to understand each customer's individualized need
  • provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics and shipping product lines and recommend appropriate FedEx Office products and services
  • provide an outstanding customer service experience by anticipating customer needs, suggesting alternatives, and finding solutions to meet customer needs
  • ensure all customer problems are resolved quickly and to customer satisfaction
  • take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information
  • assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping items, weighing packages, and affixing labels
  • set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment
  • maintain a safe, clean and orderly retail store
  • ensure confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents and packages
  • process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal, including handling cash and making change
  • clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies
  • stay current on store merchandising materials and ensure proper display of all retail products and signage
  • take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste
  • complete required financial paperwork and assist with financial reporting
  • follow FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adhere to legal, safety, customer service and security policies
  • perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • look for opportunities to improve knowledge and skills
  • operate with minimal supervision
  • adhere to all team member and retail store standards
  • perform other duties as needed or required
