Job Requirements

  • Ability to work all scheduled shifts on time

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • proven track record in safe working practices
  • manufacturing experience preferred
  • experience working in temperature controlled settings
  • experience with perishable items
  • ability to interact and communicate with team and supervisors
  • ability to lift 50 lbs
  • passion for food quality
  • excellent attention to detail
  • numeracy skills
  • able to read and write English
  • bilingual preferred

Job Duties

  • Adhere to safe working practices at all times
  • perform daily checks of area for non-compliance and report to supervisor
  • ensure finished product conforms to specifications
  • manufacture quality products efficiently within time and quantity parameters
  • follow company GMPs
  • show a positive attitude and leadership mentality
  • ensure clean and tidy production area at all times
  • report downtime to maintenance in a timely manner
  • communicate issues or changes such as low yields, holds, wrong ingredients
  • monitor and action all waste
  • take instructions from supervisors
  • cook each recipe with the highest quality following procedure
  • constantly taste soup and ingredients for quality
  • ask for supervisor approval if there are questions about soup or ingredients
  • check all ingredients are present in correct quantities and quality
  • take viscosity readings when appropriate
  • perform LTD cleaning as per SOP and guidelines
  • follow HACCP plan ensuring Cooking CCP is met
  • ensure paperwork is filled out neatly and signed off
  • take responsibility for kettles ensuring soup is always looked after
  • perform other tasks reasonably requested by management
