Job Requirements

  • Experience leading deli or café or retail culinary operations
  • Demonstrated ability to coach develop and hold teams accountable
  • Strong understanding of labor planning and cost controls
  • Ability to build systems that improve consistency across multiple locations
  • Strong food safety knowledge and compliance leadership
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced retail food environment
  • Standing lifting and working in cold or hot prep conditions
  • Weekend or holiday availability required based on business needs
  • Travel between store locations

Job Qualifications

  • Experience leading deli or café or retail culinary operations
  • Demonstrated ability to coach develop and hold teams accountable
  • Strong understanding of labor planning and cost controls
  • Ability to build systems that improve consistency across multiple locations
  • Strong food safety knowledge and compliance leadership
  • Multi-team experience
  • ServSafe Manager Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Experience with made-to-order beverage programs such as smoothies or coffee
  • Comfort enforcing SOPs and training programs

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily deli and café operations ensuring consistent execution efficiency and adherence to company standards
  • Recruit train and mentor deli and café leaders and team members promoting strong service culture and accountability
  • Create a welcoming engaging and efficient deli and café experience reflecting MaMa Jean’s brand and values
  • Assist in the development and execution of deli and café menus ensuring quality consistency and relevance to customer needs
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety sanitation and regulatory requirements through training audits and corrective action
  • Identify and address operational and service challenges to maintain a high-performing retail food environment
  • Provide ongoing coaching feedback and performance evaluations to support team growth and accountability
  • Manage staffing models and schedules to support service needs while maintaining labor efficiency
  • Monitor sales labor food cost and waste implementing strategies to support profitability and performance
