- working knowledge of liquor store stocking and sales techniques

- ability to lift and carry heavy merchandise
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, customers, and the general public
Job Duties
- Operate cash register in selling liquor store merchandise
- accept checks according to established procedure
- make change
- package merchandise for customers
- assist customers in selection of merchandise
- verify age identification of customers
- ensure sales are not made to underage or intoxicated individuals
- maintain surveillance for shoplifting prevention
- ensure overall security of store
- stock merchandise
- verify merchandise is priced correctly
- check in incoming merchandise
- perform light custodial duties such as cleaning, mopping, and dusting
- perform other duties related to the position as assigned
