Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- At least six months of beverage, food counter, or retail sales experience
- Proficient with Point of Sale system and cash handling procedures
- Must obtain King County food handler's permit within 14 days of hire
- Knowledge of food values and nutrition
- Understanding of personal hygiene, food handling, sanitation, and safety precautions
- Ability to use cafe utensils and equipment
- Experience in record keeping and report preparation
- Effective multitasking skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Customer service experience
- Experience in diverse and inclusive work environments

Job Duties
- Oversee retail store and food counter operations
- Lead and participate in cleaning of the cafe and equipment
- Assure sanitation and safety standards are met
- Rotate stock and manage leftover ingredients utilization
- Participate in large-scale food and beverage preparation and service
- Assist customers in locating and purchasing retail items
- Prepare and serve coffee, light lunches, sandwiches, and fountain orders
- Process online orders for pickup or delivery
- Serve as cashier and process payments, check receipts, prepare financial reports
- Arrange supplies and merchandise displays
- Take inventory and keep inventory records
- Set up tables and arrange condiments
- Perform opening and closing duties on cash register
- Collaborate with catering manager on event orders
- Order supplies and prepare food for events
- Coordinate catering supplies readiness
- Perform other assigned duties
