Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift including frequent bending twisting squatting flexing and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers
- frequent use of hands for grasping fine manipulation pushing and pulling
- ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items including reaching for and lifting items above the head
- ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
- for stock and fulfillment roles frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- ability to work a flexible schedule
- strong attention to detail

Job Duties
- work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready and is sized and filled in through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
- assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms including operating a point-of-sale system and handling bulky items
- create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- create a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
- keep the stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- adhere to all operational merchandise and asset protection standards
- promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
- receive unload freight unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
- fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
- prepare and ship customer orders following quality packing and shipping standards
- utilize inventory management systems to scan process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes
- assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- provide general support to the store such as setting up special events organizing backroom markdowns and relocating store fixtures
