Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting 25 plus pounds
- flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- must be able to comply with company policies and safety standards
- effective communication skills and basic math proficiency
Job Qualifications
- No prior experience required will train on the job strong teamwork skills and flexibility needed effective communication skills basic math skills ability to handle cash register and transactions customer service orientation willingness to learn other departmental roles
Job Duties
- General customer service duties including helping customers find items answering questions about products and services addressing customer needs
- balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities while following all state and local laws
- use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of fresh food and deli products
- responsibility for cleaning direct working area the sales floor restrooms showers gas diesel pumps and completing trash runs
- additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services Fresh Kitchen Facility Maintenance and leadership roles
- ability to move lift 25 pounds plus and work in various temperatures
