Job Requirements
- Must be 21 or older for this location
- legal age to sell restricted products
- able to work flexible shifts to support business needs for 24/7 operation including nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- previous retail or cashier experience
- good communication skills
- ability to lift frequently up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 65 pounds
- ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and company policies
- strong teamwork skills
- availability to travel within the district stores including Tigard, Portland, Lake Oswego, and Tualatin
- able to deal with heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes from chemicals and gasoline
Job Qualifications
- Previous retail or cashier experience
- excellent communication skills with a friendly can-do attitude
- willingness and passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- previous experience leading by example and doing the right thing
- strong sense of teamwork
- legal age to sell restricted products including alcohol and tobacco
- ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- basic math skills to handle transactions accurately
Job Duties
- Greet every customer with a smile, thanking them for their business, and inviting them back
- provide fast and friendly service and accurate product information
- ring up sales and merchandise, offering our customers applicable discounts/promotions while following all laws and policies regarding restricted sales of tobacco and alcohol
- prepare cashier checkout report accurately and according to policy
- maintain cleanliness, inside and outside the store
- properly label, rotate and stock shelves, coolers, and displays
- be safety/security conscious while adhering to the guidelines in the Safety Manual and report any accidents or incidents to the Store Manager immediately
- be knowledgeable of and follow company policy and procedures
- where applicable fuel customers' cars, check engine fluids, and wash customer windows as needed
- ensure proper sanitation and food handling/prep/storage/disposal procedures are followed
- book floaters only - reconcile daily paperwork when covering shifts and completing daily deposits
- additional duties as assigned
