Job Requirements
- 21 years of age or above
- Must obtain and maintain registration or license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- General computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries
- Must be able to lift or maneuver at least 30 pounds
- Flexible to work varying schedules reflecting the business needs
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for handling objects
- Must maintain safety standards
- Fluent in English
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
- General computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Some related experience in luxury resort or product setting preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from employees or guests
- Fluency in English required, second language a plus
- Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request
Job Duties
- Ensure all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied
- Participate in short- and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- Monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness and effect changes required for improvement
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations
- Facilitate retail sales including customer assistance and follow up
- Operate cash register and handle money
- Clean and maintain the appearance of all merchandise and customer areas
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests
- Follow established procedures regarding gift-wrapping and merchandising opportunities
- Assist other departments with requirements pertinent to hotel guests
- Work with safety as a priority and follow department and company safety standards
- Maintain relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned and assist in other outlets due to business needs
