Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in retail or customer service preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- Capability to frequently lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
- For stock and fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Must adhere to all operational and asset protection standards
Job Qualifications
- Clear and effective communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in retail or customer service preferred but not required
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management technology beneficial
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- High level of accountability and initiative
Job Duties
- Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready and is sized and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
- Assist customers with various transactions across different platforms including point-of-sale operations and bagging items
- Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and returning clothing to the floor
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer environment by sorting and returning clothing
- Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies
- Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards
- Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
- Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise
- Fulfill customer orders timely while following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise
- Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Provide support for store events, markdowns, and fixture relocations
