Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Physical capability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching
- Ability to handle and lift bulky items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems
- Commitment to follow operational and asset protection guidelines

- Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Experience in customer service or retail preferred

- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and retail technology
Job Duties
- Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready and is sized and filled in through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
- Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms including in-store, online and mobile
- Operate a point-of-sale system, bag items of all sizes including bulky and heavy items, ensuring a seamless and friendly customer experience
- Create a smooth fitting room experience supporting as a fitting room attendant by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
- Keep the stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
