Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours per shift with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching
- Capacity to lift and handle bulky items up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds for stock and fulfillment roles
- Basic operation of point-of-sale systems and inventory software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work a schedule based on business demands
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks involved in retail operations

- Experience using point-of-sale and inventory management technologies

Job Duties
- Work with the team to ensure the sales floor stays runway ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
- Assist customers with cashiering and various transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms including operating point-of-sale systems and handling bulky items
- Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and returning clothing to the sales floor
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer environment by sorting and returning merchandise
- Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- Demonstrate expertise in store technologies and adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards
- Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program
- Receive, unload, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders promptly while maintaining quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer orders following packing and shipping protocols
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research shipments according to inventory control processes
- Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Provide general store support including event setups, markdowns, and fixture relocations
