Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Capability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items and lift items weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 25 pounds
- Availability to work flexible hours according to store needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment

- Clear, effective communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
- Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in retail or customer-facing roles is preferred
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and store technologies is a plus
- Ability to work flexible schedules based on business needs
Job Duties
- Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready and is sized and filled in through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
- Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items of all size, handling bulky items, and ensuring a seamless and friendly experience
- Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- Create a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
- Keep the stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
