- prior retail or cashier experience preferred
- ability to stand for long periods while working
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- basic proficiency with cash registers and self-checkout systems

Job Duties
- Maintain safety of facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps
- follow forklift spotting procedures
- handle and dispose of hazardous materials according to procedures
- comply with company steel standard guidelines
- correct and report unsafe situations to facility management
- provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs
- assist members with purchasing decisions
- locate merchandise
- resolve member issues and concerns
- promote the company's products and services
- support members regarding self-service technology
- process member purchases
- assist members with payments according to company policies and procedures
- assist members with transactions using registers or self-checkout
- zone the area and organize merchandise
- comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
- complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers and co-workers
- identify priorities, deadlines and expectations
- communicate progress and provide feedback
- adapt to change and learn from difficulties
