Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift
- ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance and objects over 50 pounds with assistance
- proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and navigate stairs or service ramps
- ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
- at least 1 year of related work experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards
Job Duties
- Serve food and alcoholic beverages to guests
- set tables according to the type of event and established service standards
- answer guest questions regarding menu selections and make recommendations as appropriate
- communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability
- relay additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen team
- record transactions accurately in the POS system at the time of order
- check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverage
- maintain cleanliness of work areas, as well as china, glassware, and utensils throughout the day
- complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, and maintaining organization
- present a physical and accurate check to guests and process payment efficiently
- perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
