Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift
  • ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance and objects over 50 pounds with assistance
  • proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and navigate stairs or service ramps
  • ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
  • at least 1 year of related work experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards

Job Duties

  • Serve food and alcoholic beverages to guests
  • set tables according to the type of event and established service standards
  • answer guest questions regarding menu selections and make recommendations as appropriate
  • communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability
  • relay additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen team
  • record transactions accurately in the POS system at the time of order
  • check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverage
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas, as well as china, glassware, and utensils throughout the day
  • complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, and maintaining organization
  • present a physical and accurate check to guests and process payment efficiently
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
