Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in restaurant or food service preferred but not required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation food service or related roles within the food industry or retail environments such as grocery stores or cafes
  • Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming atmosphere
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently
  • Knowledge of food safety standards sanitation procedures and proper food handling techniques
  • Experience with serving bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in a quick-service or fast-food restaurant setting
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if required
  • A positive attitude is essential for team success

Job Duties

  • Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards ensuring quality and presentation
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing cashiering and sales transactions
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service taking orders answering questions and addressing customer needs promptly
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Handle cash transactions accurately including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables cleaning workstations and adhering to food safety protocols
  • Assist with food handling storage and inventory management to ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Support kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation plating and basic cooking tasks as needed
  • Ensure quick service delivery in a fast-food or quick-service restaurant setting while maintaining quality standards
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy hours
