Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food and beverage or hospitality management preferred
- Current Food Handler Card and TABC license or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and transport at least 50 lbs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must adhere to company grooming standards
Job Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of food outlet operations including foods supervisory aspects service techniques and guest interaction
- Knowledge of state federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Current Food Handler Card and TABC license or in process of certification
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations during busy periods
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- Basic English language skills sufficient to understand customer inquiries and communicate simple instructions
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
- Ability to remember recite and promote menu items
- Ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee maker
Job Duties
- Assist Restaurant Manager/F&B Director in interviewing selecting training supervising counseling and disciplining restaurant staff for efficient outlet operation
- Maintain outlet scheduling and payroll
- Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information such as house count daily specials promotions menu changes
- Meet and greet guests escort them to their tables and present menus
- Answer telephones coordinate and document reservations
- Maintain communication with all departments and attend relevant meetings
- Participate in marketing efforts create menus survey competition report food trends
- Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction ensuring food consistency appeal and adherence to specifications
- Maintain profitability by controlling payroll and equipment costs managing inventory ordering supplies and maintaining equipment
- Support the entire Food and Beverage operation supervising other areas handling special projects running promotions and marketing
- Provide clean and safe environment assist with cleaning
- Adhere to company policies procedures and safety and security rules
- Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilize protective equipment and report unsafe conditions accidents or near-misses
- Maintain a neat clean well groomed appearance in accordance with team handbook
- Perform other related duties as requested and assist other restaurant personnel when needed
