- At least 2 years of experience in fine dining
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to adapt to changing environments
- Customer service oriented
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a fine dining setting
- Banquet experience preferred
- Strong communication and time-management abilities
- Ability to maintain a high-profile, customer-oriented, professional demeanor
- Ability to function effectively in fast-paced and crisis situations
- Adaptability to changes among programs, colleagues, and customers
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to carry trays and lift up to 50 lbs
- Standing and walking for long periods
- High school diploma minimum
- ServSafe certification is a plus
Job Duties
- Greet and seat customers with courtesy and professionalism
- Knowledgeably explain specials and menu items to customers
- Take orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system
- Serve food and beverages properly and clear plates/bus tables
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house staff
- Work collaboratively in a team environment with faculty, students, and staff
- Maintain policies and standard operating procedures for restaurant and catering operations
