Job Requirements

  • AAS in Culinary Arts or equivalent
  • prior culinary experience
  • strong organizational skills
  • management and leadership abilities
  • knowledge of food and beverage industry procedures
  • cost management expertise
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, taste, and smell
  • ServSafe sanitation certification
  • ACF certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • AAS in Culinary Arts or equivalent from accredited institution
  • prior culinary experience highly preferred
  • strong organizational and management skills
  • excellent communication and motivational abilities
  • proficiency in food and beverage control procedures
  • background in cost efficiency and kitchen management
  • knowledge of regional cuisine and proper food production methods
  • familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • ServSafe sanitation certification
  • ACF certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Advise Executive Chef on kitchen operations and cleanliness standards
  • manage culinary, server, and stewarding staff
  • direct restaurant unit operations
  • supervise employees according to company policies and legal requirements
  • conduct interviewing, hiring, and training of staff
  • plan, assign, and direct daily work activities
  • appraise employee performance and address complaints
