Job Requirements

  • Formal culinary arts training
  • minimum 3-5 years culinary experience
  • prior experience as Certified Demi Chef de Partie or sous chef
  • Food Safe certification
  • strong communication skills
  • computer proficiency
  • ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • fluent in English
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
  • willingness to provide excellent service to guests, residents, and peers
  • good organizational skills
  • ability to handle pressure and changing priorities
  • high work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • Formal training from culinary arts program
  • 3-5 years of culinary experience
  • previous experience as Certified Demi Chef de Partie (CDP) or sous chef
  • experience in various food service environments including restaurants, cruise ships, or hotel operations
  • excellent communication skills
  • computer literacy
  • Food Safe Certified
  • knowledge of ordering systems is a plus
  • ability to train and lead a team
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to perform well under pressure

Job Duties

  • Supervise the entire culinary team of the dining outlet
  • assist with creating menu recipes, creating specials, and completion of inventory orders
  • lead the charge on all standards, train employees on standards and menus, recipes, and cooking procedures
  • manage kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • work with lead chefs to manage dining operation's budget
  • ensure food quality and consistency
  • oversee workflow and production flow in the kitchen
