Job Duties
- Deliver, open, and serve bottles of wine and champagne
- respond to guest inquiries about wine origin, vintage, and style
- update and maintain the wine list and MICROS system
- suggest wine pairings to complement the menu
- attend wine tastings and cultivate supplier relationships
- order new wines and products
- create and update wine lists
- develop and implement wine promotions and incentive programs
- verify and replenish cellar inventory, equipment, and glassware
- train and educate waitstaff and bar personnel
- conduct vintage and BIN number verification
- perform wine tastings for staff
- secure liquors, beers, wines, refrigerators, cabinets, and storage areas
