Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation
- Available to work a minimum of 5 days and 32 to 40 hours per week
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successful completion of background check
- Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others
- Leadership experience preferred
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk continuously
- Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb including the use of ladders
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds including overhead lifting
- Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
- Effective communication through speech, reading, and writing
- Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception
- Work in environments with hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
- Operate restaurant equipment safely including knives and fryers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and organizational skills
- Ability to interact cooperatively with others
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
Job Duties
- Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan
- Complete food safety certification
- Undergo any additional training required by Zax LLC
- Create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to the General Manager
- Prioritize guest and team member experience and resolve complaints in a friendly and respectful manner
- Create and maintain a positive culture and team morale through recognition and leading by example
- Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to perform at their highest ability level
- Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during shifts
- Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with Zaxbys franchising LLC and Zax LLC policies and procedures
- Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are upheld
- Enhance guest experiences by ensuring orders meet company standards and guest satisfaction
- Receive and reconcile truck deliveries and stock product properly
- Manage food production quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes and taking corrective action when necessary
- Track food safety and quality throughout shifts
- Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing tasks are completed
- Collaborate with management to develop shift goals and report on progress
- Ensure processes, policies, and procedures are properly followed
- Follow company cash management policies
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Use management tools and maintain accurate records
- Ensure safe work practices and follow safety guidelines
- Report human resources and risk management concerns to supervisors
- Perform other duties necessary for proper restaurant operations
