Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Certification in TIPS alcohol awareness program within 30 days of hire
  • Food Handler's card within 30 days from date of hire
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry and balance trays weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Possess general math skills with accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to develop relationships and provide exceptional customer service
  • Effective verbal communication skills with guests, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Ability to learn menu items, specials, food, and beverages
  • Ability to provide guests with general property and area information
  • Server experience in comparable restaurant preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Experience lifting, balancing and carrying service trays weighing 40 pounds a plus
  • Ability to organize and prioritize while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor
  • Ability to absorb information quickly
  • Certification in TIPS alcohol awareness program required within 30 days
  • Must have Food Handler's card within 30 days from date of hire
  • Must have cash handling skills within 30 days from hire
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays

Job Duties

  • Perform all duties toward the goal of providing excellent guest service in an efficient manner
  • Follow all policy, procedures and service standards
  • Prepare facility for dining ensuring napkins, service plates and utensils are ready
  • Provide guests/members with menu info and specials
  • Respond immediately and professionally to guest service issues and report to manager
  • Accurately record and enter food and beverage orders into POS system
  • Maximize sales by using menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques
  • Maintain table settings and replenish utensils and water glasses
  • Offer and serve alcoholic beverages adhering to alcohol policies
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining room and service areas
  • Collect payment and ensure accurate sales deposits
  • Develop positive communication and teamwork with co-workers
  • Conclude dining experience by inviting guests to return
  • Perform other assigned duties
