Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience waiting tables in hospitality settings preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with older adults
- Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work part-time or full-time as needed
- Willingness to comply with community policies and emergency procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Knowledge of food and beverage service best practices
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members
- Willingness to adhere to hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to complete assigned in-service and education sessions
Job Duties
- Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order
- Communicate with residents to take food and beverage orders and provide service and requested items promptly and courteously
- Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service
- Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and their guests
- Maintain knowledge of menu to answer questions about food and beverage selections
- Perform pre-opening and closing checklist duties as assigned
- Maintain neat, safe and sanitary conditions in working areas
- Assist with receiving and greeting residents and guests and seating residents when possible
- Assist other associates in preparing special meals for parties, banquets, and meetings
- Maintain confidentiality of resident, family, and facility information
- Coordinate work activities with co-workers to ensure smooth department operations
- Attend and complete in-service and education sessions as assigned
- Adhere to department standards for personal hygiene and uniform guidelines by maintaining clean and professional appearance
- Follow proper food handling and preparation standards according to local, state, and federal regulations
- Adhere to all community and departmental policies, procedures and applicable laws
- Practice all safety, emergency, and loss prevention procedures including responding to fire alarms and assisting in evacuations
- Act as a backup server in other dining rooms as needed
