Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations
  • Basic math and financial skills
  • Ability to operate POS systems
  • Must be energetic and outgoing
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must maintain professional appearance
  • Must comply with all safety and security procedures
  • Ability to travel occasionally for training and meetings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • College degree preferred
  • Prior experience in restaurant and hospitality preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and web analytics tools preferred
  • Working knowledge of property safety and security procedures
  • Service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Energetic and outgoing personality
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Team player capable of working under minimal supervision
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills and understanding of financial information
  • Typing speed of 45 wpm
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Opera preferred
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion

Job Duties

  • Walk and stand for entire shift while servicing guests with food and beverage requirements in a friendly and professional manner
  • Report all issues and complaints to management
  • Clear, clean and reset tables as needed
  • Perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • Sweep, mop and vacuum floors to keep restaurant area and hallways clean
  • Be familiar with the restaurant and lounge organization and menus
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and side work duties
  • Follow all state liquor laws
  • Handle food and beverage service, including refilling guests' cups and glasses
  • Greet and serve guests according to established policies and procedures
  • Convey information clearly and evaluate situations quickly
  • Maintain composure under pressure and listen effectively to guests and colleagues
  • Use POS/Micros system for cashiering functions
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Maintain regular attendance and coordinate with management on work priorities
