Job Requirements
- Must possess a valid Yavapai County Health Dept. Food Handlers card to be kept on file
- Must have completed County and State liquor training
- Must adhere to occupational safety and health practices including the use of personal protective equipment when required
- Proper professional attire according to employee handbook
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
- Must maintain neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times
- Ability to work PM shift starting as early as 2:30 pm
Job Qualifications
- Previous food and beverage experience required
- Good physical condition to lift moderate weights and remain on feet for prolonged periods
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Pleasant personality to effectively deal with guests' questions and service
- Good teamwork with fellow employees
- Strong attention to detail
- Well-groomed appearance according to company standards
- Knowledge of proper service etiquette and liquor laws
- Ability to use Micros POS system
Job Duties
- Being thoroughly familiar with all standards of proper service etiquette and adhering to these standards throughout guests' dining experience
- Knowledge of all liquor laws as well as company and departmental policies regarding the consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Ability to service a five-table station during typical service demand
- Have a strong working knowledge of the Micros POS system and other check processing procedures for dining room service
- Able to help other employees with their questions and process discounts while still maintaining their assigned section
- Know all menu items including ingredients, preparation, required condiments, key descriptors, and potential allergies
- Ability to accurately and efficiently take orders from guests and expedite as soon as prepared from the kitchen
- Ability to communicate effectively with the kitchen line and management staff
- Complete end of service procedures
- Complete closing paperwork including checking the accuracy of all discounts and comps and obtaining required signatures
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings and supplemental training sessions
