Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior serving experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and lift/carry trays up to 40 lbs for extended periods
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
- flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to obtain and maintain Food Handler's and Alcohol Service certifications as required

Job Duties
- Welcome guests warmly, escort them to tables, and provide menus
- explain menu items, daily specials, and make recommendations
- take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them efficiently
- ensure guests' needs are met, including refills and special dietary requests
- check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction
- enter orders into the hotel's POS system correctly and efficiently
- serve food and drinks promptly while following proper etiquette
- ensure all dishes are delivered at the correct temperature with proper presentation
- address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues if needed
- work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers for seamless service
- communicate effectively with servers and kitchen personnel regarding any order modifications or special requests
- alert the kitchen and management of any delays in food preparation or service issues
- assist food runners and bussers in delivering and clearing plates
- support teammates during peak hours to maintain smooth operations
- communicate with the hotel front desk regarding reservations and special requests
- set up tables with polished silverware, clean linens, and arranged dishware
- clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently
- maintain clean and organized service stations and stocked with condiments, utensils, and napkins
- follow all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations, including proper handling of hot dishes and allergens
- adhere to restaurant policies regarding hygiene, personal appearance, and safety protocols
- present checks, process payments, and handle hotel room charges
- manage split checks, discounts, and gratuities according to hotel policies
- adhere to hotel grooming and uniform standards, maintaining a polished appearance and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- comply with company policies to include time and attendance, meal and rest breaks, uniform standards, professionalism, and code of conduct
- uphold MacArthur Place's luxury service standards
- maintain professionalism and a guest-first attitude
- perform other duties as assigned by management
