Job Duties
- Prepare restaurant for lunch/dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins and utensils
- protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
- explain the chef's specialties and identify appropriate wines
- stay updated on current menu choices and kitchen inventory
- transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording resident choices and special dietary needs
- serve orders by delivering patrons' choices and accompaniments
- respond to patron requirements by inquiring needs and observing dining process
- maintain table setting by removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses and attending to spills
- properly open and pour wine at tableside
- obtain revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments and returning receipts
- contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results
- perform basic cleaning tasks as directed
- fill in for absent staff as needed
- assist with special events
- adhere to grooming and appearance standards
- promptly address customer service issues and refer to management when necessary
