Job Requirements

  • prior experience in serving or related hospitality role
  • valid food handlers card
  • ability to work nights and weekends
  • excellent communication skills
  • positive attitude and professionalism
  • ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • basic knowledge of beverage service
  • adherence to grooming and appearance standards
  • open availability

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare restaurant for lunch/dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins and utensils
  • protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
  • explain the chef's specialties and identify appropriate wines
  • stay updated on current menu choices and kitchen inventory
  • transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording resident choices and special dietary needs
  • serve orders by delivering patrons' choices and accompaniments
  • respond to patron requirements by inquiring needs and observing dining process
  • maintain table setting by removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses and attending to spills
  • properly open and pour wine at tableside
  • obtain revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments and returning receipts
  • contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results
  • perform basic cleaning tasks as directed
  • fill in for absent staff as needed
  • assist with special events
  • adhere to grooming and appearance standards
  • promptly address customer service issues and refer to management when necessary
