Job Requirements
- Available and flexible to work any of five scheduled shifts per week
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service with a positive and friendly attitude
- Must be organized with attention to detail
- Ability to handle guest complaints with empathy and professionalism
- Physically able to stand and move for extended periods
- Ability to perform manual and electronic transactions accurately
- Compliance with Department of Health sanitation and food safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in restaurant server or hospitality role preferred
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus
- Familiarity with POS systems, preferably MICROS
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Proven customer service skills with a can-do attitude
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing can do attitude and genuine hospitality and by exceeding guest expectations
- Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
- Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
- Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate
- Performs other duties as required to provide can do attitude and genuine hospitality
- Provides food and beverage service to guests in the restaurant
- Provides guest with overview of menu choices
- Takes guests’ order and provides explanation of menu and upsells as appropriate
- Utilizes MICROS POS to accurately enter food and beverage orders and process discounts and payments
- Prepares order for presentation to guest
- Serves and replenishes beverages
- Clears tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverware
- Cleans tables, chairs and floor area
- Resets table quickly
- Consolidates and garnishes food items when completed and delivers to assigned table
- Knowledgeable in bar beverages i.e., beer, wine, distilled spirits
- Assists service team as necessary to meet and exceed the guests’ expectations
- Completes all side work assignments to Restaurant standards
- Performs duties according to the Department of Health sanitation and food safety guidelines
- Performs manual and electronic transactions that include monies, room charge, credit card, coupons, vouchers and any hotel issued certificates
