Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safety and sanitation standards
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate orders and special accommodations
- collect tickets and follow cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding guest information
- promptly address complaints or issues and report to supervisor
- set up and clean dining room before and after service periods
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- work with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
